2026 Youth Baseball & Softball Registration Registration is now open for Dunellen Recreation’s Youth Baseball (ages 4–8) and Softball (grades 1–8) programs. The Opening Day Parade, Ceremony, and Games are scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026.
Registration Deadline
Monday, March 9 Players who register by March 9 will receive a team shirt and baseball cap or softball visor. Registrations received after March 9 will be assessed a $20 late fee and are not guaranteed a team shirt or cap/visor.
Equipment Requirements
All players must provide their own:
Batting helmet
Bat
Glove (mitt)
Sneakers or baseball/softball shoes with rubber cleats
Shorts are not permitted.
Volunteers
All coaches are volunteers. Teams can only be formed based on the number of available volunteer coaches. If you are interested in volunteering as a coach or assistant coach, please contact Recreation Director Kelly Seader at kseader@dunellenborough.com. All volunteers are required to complete the Borough’s background screening. New volunteers without Rutgers SAFETY certification must complete the 3-hour online course. Both expenses are reimbursable by the Borough upon timely submission of receipts.

Doubles Tennis Tournament, Spring 2026 - Doubles Tennis Tournament
Grab a partner and enjoy a fun filled day of doubles tennis on Saturday May 30! The Doubles Tennis Tournament begins at 9 AM at the tennis courts in Columbia Park, Orange Street, Dunellen. The entry fee is $20 per team; $10 per team for high school students. Pre-registration is required (only one member of the doubles team needs to register). Celebrating Over 50 Years of Summer Fun! For more than 50 years, Dunellen Recreation has been the go-to destination for unforgettable summers! Our Summer Camp offers the perfect mix of fun, friendship, and adventure for children ages 5–12. Must be potty trained. Campers will enjoy:

Destroyer Basketball Camp 2026 - Basketball Camp: Week 1
Destroyer Basketball Camp Join us for skills, drills, and FUN! Open to children entering 2nd–9th grade. All skill levels welcome, no experience necessary. Camp focuses on fundamentals, teamwork, game play, and building confidence on and off the court.
Camp Directors
Coach Matt Cianfrone – Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach at Dunellen High School. A longtime member of the Destroyer program, Coach Cianfrone has been part of the staff for 14 seasons and was named the 2025 Silver Division Coach of the Year. A former Destroyer captain and starter, he brings extensive experience in player development, defensive strategy, and game planning. Coach Noah Wenzel – Current JV Coach for the Dunellen Boys Basketball program. A former three-sport athlete at Dunellen, Coach Wenzel played football, basketball, and baseball, earning All-Gold Division honors as a point guard. He previously coached at the middle school level and focuses on skill development and fundamentals. Coach Keith Connery – Head Girls Basketball Coach at Dunellen High School. Coach Connery has led his teams to multiple division titles and has coached several 1,000-point scorers and All-Division players. Destroyer Soccer Camp - Destroyer Soccer Camp- Week 1
Destroyer Soccer Camp Grades 5–8 Take your game to the next level this summer with Dunellen Boys Varsity Head Coach Fanor and current varsity players. This camp is designed for middle school athletes who want to improve skills, game knowledge, and overall performance in a competitive, high-energy environment. Camp Focus: • Skill development (footwork, ball control, vision) • Game situation training and strategy • Competitive drills and small-sided play • Instruction from high school coaching staff and varsity players Camp Options: • Two Weeks: $175 • One Week: $90 Early Bird Special: Register by May 22 Use promo code MULTIWEEK when registering for both weeks.
